Privacy, with room for the garden.
An enclosed street frontage gives way to a courtyard-facing home. Deep rooflines temper the light along the garden edge, bringing an outdoor outlook into the sequence of interior rooms.

The courtyard gives the surrounding rooms a shared outlook. A deep, continuous roof edge frames the sky while columns mark the transition between enclosed rooms and the garden.
Public edge, private interior
A restrained street frontage keeps the interior sequence private. The contrast between the solid outer enclosure and the open courtyard is central to the spatial character of the residence.
